Firewood Options

Birch

Birch is a wonderful firewood which has an approximate BTU of 20 million per cord. When properly seasoned Birch produces a high amount of heat and low amount of ash. Birch is ideal for indoor as well as outdoor fires as it is a hardwood that burns for a prolonged period of time with no sparks or popping and very little smoke. The smoke has a great aroma and birch reduces the chances of creosote accumulation in the chimney.

Mesh Pallet measuring approximately 1m x 1m x 1m. The mesh bulges out, so please allow for 48” width clearance for loading. Contains approximately 0.75 cubic meters stacked or just shy of ¼ of a cord of firewood. A skid steer is available to load or wood can be removed by hand from the pallet.

Pine/Spruce

Pine and Spruce is a good firewood which has an approximate BTU of 15.5 million per cord. When properly seasoned Pine/Spruce burns quickly with low/medium amounts of heat and medium amounts of ash. It is ideal for outdoor fires with a nice fragrance that produces lots of sparks, crackles and pops. Pine/Spruce is very easy to start a fire with.

Tamarack

Tamarack is a great firewood which has an approximate BTU of 21.8 million per cord.  When properly seasoned Tamarack produces a high amount of heat and a medium amount of ash.  It is ideal for indoor and outdoor fires as it burns for a prolonged period of time but does produce some sparks, crackles and pops with a pleasant fragrance.
